Prologue

So, what’s next? For the next almost 6 years I will be publishing a series (69 issues in total), called Biblical Mission Stories. It was written as a course for oral learners and translated into an Asian majority language as first course of a 40-course missionary training curriculum, in which many other authors participated. This course caters best to the learning needs of the future missionaries, to be sent from the Church in the global South. For that reason it will not be translated into Western languages (other than its original English). In addition to the teaching text, that can be read also to non-literate people, there are study questions to be answered and topics for small-group discussions. These, plus the used Bible verses are also presented as powerpoints, which you will be able to use in conjunction with the text. For the study-leader an additonal Teacher’s Guide is provided in which additional Bible verses per chapter can be found, as well as answers to some study questions in the text. All can be dowloaded for free and used at one’s own discretion.

It is my prayer that this course will stimulate many to respond to the cross-cultural missionary vocation the Lord may have for them, so that the unreached people groups will be reached with the saving message of Jesus Christ ‘in the shortest possible time’, as C.T. Studd said.
