DR Congo (01-2013)
In January Steef travelled to the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kinshasa, a city of 10 million+ inhabitants, together with Ps. Michel Ngalula Cimpanga, a Congolese pastor who lives in South Africa. It was Steef’s first visit to this country. The amount of people that pitched for the first week was a novelty too: over 100 people were trained with Steef’s elementary course in world missions. A second week in another church in the same city was also successful with about 70 people in attendance. Because of this great interest, the same course was planned for the city of Lubumbashi in June. Also a new French translation was planned of the newly updated English course book. This was truly a ‘great new open door’ for the ministry of Recruiting for Missions!
